Michelle Obama is a staple of best-dressed lists, known for rocking everything from haute designers to H&M, but even the First Lady needs a helping hand shopping sometimes. ABC News reports that hairdresser Vera Chamberlin revealed to the Washington Post that her client Meredith Koop, a 29-year-old Vanderbilt University grad, has taken over the role of stylist to the First Lady from Chicago retailer Ikram Goldman. Koop, a former protegé of Goldman, was sent to the White House to help out with Obama’s fashion needs before taking over the role full time. A White House spokesperson identifies Koop as a “personal aide to the First Lady and a member of the White House Residence staff” with duties beyond the First Lady’s wardrobe. But as far as clothes are concerned, the White House said in an email to ABC News that Koop’s “responsibilities include advising the first lady on her wardrobe and acting on her behalf in arranging for purchases, including considering the best offered price, and buying on discount if discounts are available.” Sounds like a good gig to us!

Diana Ross Details Former Lover Berry Gordy's Jealous Streak On Oprah

Living legend Diana Ross made an appearance on Oprah with her five children and grandson.

Diana discussed her career that has spanned nearly 50 years with Oprah on Friday. Ross also performed for the first time in four years on Oprah.

But the big surprise of the show was Billy Dee Williams! Oprah surprised Diana Ross by introducing Williams for a mini-reunion of their first film together, "The Lady Sings The Blue".

Ross shared some details of working on the set with then lover Barry Gordy and Williams,

She said, "We worked really, really well together. (But) every time he would go to kiss me, Berry Gordy would drag me away. Berry would drag him away saying, 'OK, that's enough, enough!'"

According to Gather.com Diana Ross’s appearance on the show is the spark for the start of her tour through the southern and eastern U.S. from February 25 to March 20.

'Yankee swap' pitcher isn't keen on helping Affleck and Damon

Best buds Ben Affleck and Matt Damon might be used to having every door opened for them in Hollywood.

But even their star power still can't get them behind the scenes of one of the most intriguing stories in baseball history.

According to the New York Post, Affleck is running into trouble when it comes to "The Trade," a movie he's writing with his brother, Casey. The film centers on the memorable "life swap" scandal that New York Yankees pitchers Mike Kekich and Fritz Peterson staged in 1973. The teammates made controversial headlines everywhere by deciding to trade everything — wives, children, even their dogs.

Though it hasn't been confirmed, Affleck and Damon would presumably play the roles of the pitchers. It's also rumored that Damon could direct the movie. But it might not even get that far, as Kekich has reportedly rebuffed Affleck's attempts to mine him for more material.

A source tells us, "Kekich is panic-stricken. He has moved away and has a new identity. He is freaked out that those working on the movie found out where he is. He isn't too keen on having the scandal dredged up again after all this time.

That's not too surprising, as almost every "Where Are They Now?" article has contained the line "both Kekich and Peterson declined to comment for this story." If they wanted to cash in, they could have done so a long time before a pair of Boston Red Sox fans optioned their tale a short while after the success of "Good Will Hunting." The article does not say whether Peterson is cooperating, though it would seem doubtful given their past stonewalling.

According to this Sports Illustrated article from August 2000, Kekich and Peterson want to let the past be the past. While Peterson and Susanne Kekich stayed together after the unusual trade — the N.Y. Post says they live in New Jersey and Colorado — the union between Kekich and Marilyn Peterson did not last.

The Mike & Marilyn combination [...] quickly unraveled. Three months after the pitchers went public, Kekich was shipped off to Cleveland and would start only eight more games in the majors. He is remarried and living in Albuquerque, where his current occupation is unknown; he made unsuccessful attempts at a career in medicine and a paramedic business. Marilyn has taken her two children and opted for what one report calls "Midwestern obscurity" — which, presumably, is not a place where kooky New York lefthanders swap wives.

So where do Affleck and Damon go from here? Well, they could forge ahead with the story by talking with teammates, team officials and media from that era. David Fincher and Aaron Sorkin, after all, didn't need Mark Zuckerberg's cooperation to make "The Social Network" a success.

But if Affleck and Damon don't believe they make the movie without Kekich and Peterson both answering the question everyone wants answered — Why did you swap wives? — they may be out of luck.

Elizabeth Taylor feeling stronger, still in hospital

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – British-born actress Elizabeth Taylor is getting better in hospital and she has not had a heart attack, a stroke or any kind of heart surgery, her representative said on Thursday.

But the 78-year-old two-time Oscar winner, who has been at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after being admitted with symptoms of heart failure earlier this month, will stay in hospital for now.

"Elizabeth Taylor's doctors continue to be encouraged by her progress," her representative said in a statement released on Wednesday.

"She is in good spirits and continues to feel stronger every day."

In 2009, Taylor, who has been married eight times, had surgery to replace a leaky heart valve and has been using a wheelchair for more than five years to cope with chronic pain.

A Hollywood star since appearing in "National Velvet" at age 12, Taylor won Oscars for her work in "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" and "Butterfield 8."

Chris Brown Finally Able Speak To Rihanna Again After Restraining Order Reduced

Artist Chris Brown received some great news while in court earlier this week. The singer was charged in 2009 for assaulting then girlfriend Rihanna which resulted in a five years probation, community service and restraining order requiring Brown to remain 50 yards away from Rihanna.

In Tuesday's ruling that Brown and his lawyer attended, the judge who has repeatedly praised Chris for his consistency reduced the restraining order to level one.

Los Angeles Supreme Court Judge Patricia Schnegg reduced the restraining order to only prevent Brown from “harassing' bothering or molesting'' or annoying Rihanna.” The new ruling allows Brown to speak to Rihanna.

Beyonce Under Fire for Blackface Photos

Beyonce graces the March issue of L'Officiel Paris, but it's a controversial photo of the superstar inside the French fashion magazine that's getting the most attention.

The glossy is celebrating its 90th anniversary, and Beyonce marks the occasion with an homage to Nigerian musician and humanitarian Fela Kuti; Beyonce's husband, Jay-Z, is a producer on the acclaimed Broadway musical "Fela!," based on the icon's life, music and courageous defiance against government corruption. In a statement (via Jezebel), L'Officiel describes the Feli-inspired photo of Beyonce -- sporting blackface, tribal paint and a dress designed by her mom -- as a "return to her African roots, as you can see on the picture, on which her face was voluntarily darkened."

Not everyone is a fan of the editorial vision and tribute to Kuti; the image simultaneously inspires and provokes. Writes Jezebel's Dodai Stewart: "It's fun to play with fashion and makeup, and fashion has a history of provocation and pushing boundaries. But when you paint your face darker in order to look more 'African,' aren't you reducing an entire continent, full of different nations, tribes, cultures and histories, into one brown color?"

"It's one thing to feel moved by Fela Kuti, and quite another to treat blackness as a fashion accessory, like a pair of glittery heels you put on because it looks cool," Stewart adds.

Charing Ball, a writer at the Atlanta Post, blasts the fashion industry's recent obsession with blackface as an accepted form of racism passed off as art. "Blackface is not fashion forward or edgy and, in my opinion, it is just flat-out offensive," writes Ball, incriminating Beyonce in perpetuating the offense.

Blackface has been particularly trendy among European fashion titles; in October 2009, French Vogue featured a white model in blackface a year after the Italian edition of Vogue ran a much-hyped issue with all-black models as a response to the lack of diversity within the industry.

Meanwhile, Beyonce and other black stars have had their skin lightened on the cover of glossy women's mags and in advertisements; see Beyonce's 2008 L'Oreal ad compared with a real photo of the singer. See also: Actress Gabby Sidibe's 2010 Elle magazine cover wherein her dark skin appeared several tones lighter.

"The message we're getting from the fashionistas," Stewart writes, "is that it's bad to actually have dark skin, but totally cool to pretend you have it."

Beyonce will no doubt maintain a diplomatic stance on the photoshoot. But, for once -- for once! -- it would be refreshing to hear her speak her mind and have a stance on something beyond her music.

Lindsay Lohan Trades in Mini Dress for $8,000 Chanel Ensemble for Wednesday Court Appearance

After causing an internet implosion -- and inadvertently spurring a fashion craze -- with her choice in attire for her February 9 court appearance, Lohan toned it down, marginally, for her hearing this morning.

Lohan arrived for her court date in a low-cut black top and high-waisted white pants -- both Chanel -- which gave her the appearance of a Las Vegas hostess from the waist up and a Real Housewife of Beverly Hills from the waist down. And that look came with a high price tag, as Radar Online estimates the ensemble costs in the range of $8,000-$11,560.

TMZ reports that she "ultimately picked the [outfit] she thought was the most reserved," which certainly leads one to wonder what the other options looked like. Lohan watchers on the internet had mixed feelings. Lawyer-to-the-stars L. Londell McMillan told EW's PopWatch blog Lohan's look was "an improvement" on her previous, more controversial one and " showed that there was respect for the court of law." The Daily Show co-creator Lizz Winstead quipped on Twitter, "After seeing Lindsay Lohan today, I realize I don't have an outfit that seemlessly transitions from court to night." And The View's Joy Behar tweeted, "Lindsay dressed more conservatively in court 2day. Chanel pants, top & YSL shoes. Not sure what store she borrowed her necklace from," alluding to the reason the actress was being endlessly discussed in the first place.

The form-fitting white $575 Kimberly Ovitz dress which Lohan wore two weeks ago was widely derided as inappropriate for the courtoom (it also sold out immediately online). Lohan addressed the "controversy" on twitter where she said "what i wear to court shouldnt be front page news. it's just absurd."

Superior Court judge Keith Schwartz told Lohan that if she accepts the plea deal offered up by the prosecution in the jewelry theft case, she will be going to jail for at least some period of time.

"This case does involve jail time. Period," Schwartz told her. "If you plead in front of me -- if this case resolves in front of me -- you are going to jail. Period. It may be an issue as to amount of time."

Schwartz added, "There are things you need to understand. I've never met you, you've never met me outside of this court to my knowledge. I don't care that you're Lindsay Lohan."


Lohan has maintained she did not steal the $2,500 necklace from the Venice, California gift shop. She was told to return to court on March 10 at which point she can either accept the plea deal (and jail time) or move ahead with a trial. Of course the real question is what she will wear then.

Judge tells Lindsay Lohan 'there's going to be jail time in this case'

A judge told actress Lindsay Lohan in court on Wednesday that "there's going to be jail time in this case" due to a probation violation and the alleged theft of a $2,500 necklace, but that will be determined later.

new court date was set for March 10.

The 24-year-old actress was in court to face a charge of felony grand theft involving a necklace that a jewelry store had reported missing. Lohan pleaded not guilty earlier this month and had said on her Twitter page that she "would never steal."

"I don't want you to be a repeat offender in the system," the judge said. "I want you to get on with your life."

Lohan is on probation stemming from a 2007 drunk driving case. If convicted of her current felony charge, she could be sent to state prison for up to three years, which would mark her fourth stint behind bars.

Lohan has been forced to undergo random drug and alcohol testing for the past few months to ensure she has not violated her probation. Her attorney, Shawn Holley, has maintained the actress' test results have come back clean.

Lohan said on her Twitter page last week that she had not visited a Los Angeles night club, as suggested by online reports, adding: "I take my sobriety seriously. please dont believe this accusations. i know the rules and i wouldnt risk probation."

Lohan is accused of stealing the necklace from Kamofie and Co., a store located in the Venice area of Los Angeles on Jan. 22, three weeks after she was released from court-ordered rehab.

The Los Angeles Police Department issued a search warrant on Feb. 2 for Lohan's home to try to find the necklace, but it was returned to police before the warrant was served.

Lohan's lawyer has said the actress' case is "entirely defensible" but that they "will entertain a discussion concerning a plea if it means no jail so that she can move forward with her recovery and her career."

Lohan's three stints behind bars have each lasted 84 minutes, 14 days and 15 hours - the last of which occurred in September after she failed a drug test and wrote about it on her Twitter page.

The actress is also currently under investigation in Riverside County in an alleged battery case over a December altercation the actress had with a worker at the Betty Ford Center.

Jessica Hahn Embarrasses Barbara Walters On The View

JESSICA HAHN embarrassed Barbara Walters on Tuesday's episode of 'The View' (21st February 2011).

JESSICA HAHN was booked as part of 'The View's' week long 'Where Are They Now?' series, but the show's producers weren't expecting the controversy that ensued on Tuesday, reports Cbs News. Hahn rose to prominence in the some twenty years ago after having an alleged sexual encounter with the televangelist Jim Bakker. The story hit the headlines in 1987 and it was revealed that Bakker had been paying Hahn to keep the story quiet. Bakker later resigned from the PTL Club, an organisation he founded in 1975. Hahn has always maintained that the encounter was rape but on Tuesday's show host Sherri Shepherd asked her to speak about "the affair". The 51-year-old took offense and began to address co-host Barbara Walters, saying, "In your book 'Audition' you had an affair with the senator". Hahn was referring to Walter's 2008 book in which she admitted to having an affair with Senator Edward Brooke in the 1970s.

Despite the unexpected jibe, Walters quickly turned the comment back around, saying, "This is about you, my dear. This is not about me, okay? I'm very happy talk about my relationships, but this is about you".

Jennifer Aniston Sports Chin-Length Bob

Jennifer Aniston recently switched up her hair style with a chin-length, lighter bob. Her new hair faintly resembles the one sported by Rachel, her character on Friends, in the late '90s.

The actress, who recently turned 42, debuted her new haircut at a Madrid photo call for Just Go With It, with co-stars Adam Sandler and Brooklyn Decker on Tuesday, according to Us Weekly.

"Aniston had been loyal to long, blond layers for a while, so it was definitely time for a change," Lauren LeVine, editor of Daily Makeover, told TheCelebrityCafe. "I love the asymmetry of this new cut—it's shorter in the back, and the highlights get lighter and more honey-blond around her face."

Jackie Cascarano from Lock and Maine said a shorter hairstyle gives instant sophistication.

"Aniston's new bob is also a bit choppy at the ends, which keeps it young and fresh," Cascarano said. "Scarlett Johansson had a similar, shorter version of this look last summer."

The actress isn’t the only star who decided to chop off her locks. Justin Bieber tweeted a picture of his new hair style on the same day.

Dianna Agron loves playing younger roles

The 24-year-old actress - who plays ditzy cheerleader Quinn Fabray in 'Glee' and high school student Sarah Hart in new movie 'I Am Number Four' - admitted while she feels like an "old lady", she is happy to portray people much younger than herself.

She explained: "Nobody has stamped me as any older than 16! Which I am fine with as the old lady that I am. I think it's fun as long as you are playing a really fulfilling character.

"It doesn't really matter what age they are or what they are like, I think the trick is that they have to be well written and have something to them. It hasn't really been an issue, although my mum jokes about it. She says, 'You are a ninth year senior'." Despite their age difference, Dianna believes she is similar to her 'I Am Number Four' alter-ego in many ways.

SARAH FERGUSON has reacted to being snubbed from this year's ROYAL WEDDING invitation list by insisting she never expected an invite.

SARAH FERGUSON, the 51-year-old Duchess of York, has not been invited to the ROYAL WEDDING of PRINCE WILLIAM and KATE MIDDLETON in April, reports People Magazine. Ferguson, who was recently caught on film attempting to sell access to her ex-husband PRINCE ANDREW, is a notable absentee on the guest-list for the year's biggest wedding. She joins President BARACK OBAMA and the First Lady MICHELLE OBAMA who have also been snubbed but Ferguson's spokesman said, "She never expected to be invited". Strangely, the 51-year-old's daughters PRINCESS BEATRICE and PRINCESS EUGENIE have been invited to the ceremony, as have a number of high-profile celebrities such as DAVID BECKHAM and his wife VICTORIA BECKHAM. It was reported earlier today (23rd February 2011) that the socialite JEMIMA KHAN has been left off the invitation list because of her comments about KATE MIDDLETON's figure. The 37-year-old made a comment on her Twitter page that read, "Middleton - those are not heir-bearing hips, are they? Unfeasibly narrow" and a source told the UK's Daily Mirror, "Apparently Jemima is friendly with the princes and would otherwise have confidently expected an invitation".

Alyssa Milano expecting her first child

LOS ANGELES – Alyssa Milano is becoming a mom.

A spokeswoman for Milano says the 38-year-old actress is expecting her first child with husband David Bugliari.

Milano confirmed the news on Twitter Tuesday, writing that she "couldn't be happier."

She and Bugliari, who is an agent with Creative Artists Agency, were married in August 2009.

Milano starred in TV's "Who's the Boss?" and "Charmed." She can next be seen in the movie "Hall Pass," in theaters Friday.

In the interview on Australia's "60 Minutes", Kidman revealed the frustration she and husband Keith Urban went through saying they've been through a "rollercoaster ride with fertility". "Anyone who's been in the place of wanting another child or wanting a child knows the disappointment, the pain and the loss that you go through trying. We were in a place of desperately wanting another child. I couldn't get pregnant". "She was the most wonderful woman to do this for us. I get emotional talking about it because I'm so grateful".

Nene Leakes Continues Feud With Kim Zolciak At Reunion

NENE LEAKES refused to put the past behind her and make-up with co-star KIM ZOLCIAK when the pair met up for the recent 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' reunion, reports OnTheRedCarpet.com. The pair had a huge argument during the third season of the show when Leakes aired her disapproval at how Zolciak was speaking to her own assistant. During the reunion special, on which the pair were expected to make-up, they began arguing again and Leakes eventually concluded that their "friendship was over". On 31st January 2011, the 44-year-old wrote a blog post entitled 'Under Attack' in which she stated, "So Season 3 has come to an end! I'm happy to have it behind me..There are so many issues I could address over the past few weeks with these ladies, but I choose not to because it's easy to attack and judge". During Sunday's reunion, Zolciak told host ANDY COHEN that she wished Leakes well in her life and seemed genuinely moved whilst watching a montage of the pair's funniest moments. However, Leakes sat unmoved through the clip and reiterated that their friendship was over.

New Movie Role To Help Lindsay Lohan "Escape"?

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan may return to the only thing that may help keep her out of trouble - acting. Lohan has reportedly spent nearly $700,000 in the past four years on legal fees, posting bail and rehab bills!

In a swift turn around, Lohan has reportedly signed up to star in 'Escaping the Game' about celebrities who escape from the pressures of fame by setting up new lives on a remote island. Lindsay will take on the role of a private investigator tracking their disappearances, according to Radar Online.

Producer Nathan Folks said: "It's about celebs who become very famous and can't take it. She wants to do it."

Although the 'Means Girls' actress is facing a possible jail sentence for allegedly stealing a $2,500 necklace from a Los Angeles store last month, Nathan is confident she will be able to take on the role which starts shooting in Spain and the US this summer and revealed he has already secured insurance for her.

He explained to RadarOnline: "We can get her insured if she is with someone who is keeping an eye on her 24/7. Lindsay and I've discussed it and she's already agreed to the condition. She's doing great and we're going to prove to the world that she's back."

Kathy Griffin to play 'Sarah Palin type' on 'Glee'

Kathy Griffin has got something to sing about! Besides starring in her first Broadway show, she's just landed a guest spot on "Glee."

"So excited! It's true!" the comedian tweeted February 18, confirming a TV Line report that she'll appear in an upcoming episode.

Griffin will play one of the judges at the Regionals competition, and her character, Tammy Jean, is said to be inspired by a certain favorite target of Griffin's: According to Movieline, the Fox series was seeking an actress to play "a middle-aged 'recent Tea Party candidate and home-schooler — a Sarah Palin type.'”


Not surprisingly, Griffin, who has worked the entire Palin family into her act, was the show's go-to gal.

"Glee" previously took on Palin last season, when Coach Sue Sylvester told Cheerios Santana and Brittany, “You may be two of the stupidest teens I’ve ever encountered — and that’s saying something. I once taught a cheerleading seminar to Sarah Palin.”

Approximately 1,800 invitations have been delivered for Prince William and Kate Middleton's highly-anticipated April 29 nuptials, and UsMagazine.com has a first look at the coveted invite card.
A source close to the couple tells Us that the invites were sent starting Thursday evening, but because there were so many it took until Friday to get them all out.

Distributed by the Lord Chamberlain's office, the invites to "the Marriage of His Royal Highness Prince William of Wales, K.G. with Miss Catherine Middleton" stipulate that attendees of the 11 a.m. ceremony are expected to dress in "uniform, morning coat or lounge suit."

One famous face who will not be in attendance? Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson, whose rep confirmed she had not received one of the invites. Ferguson's daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, are expected to attend.

Did Hayden Panettiere hesitate before taking on the starring role in the TV movie "Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial in Italy," which airs tonight on Lifetime? Panettiere tells the Times she literally screamed with joy, thrilled to be offered a part so different from her usual clean-cut roles (such as the cheerleader on "Heroes").

But the controversy swirling around the TV movie has been intense. Knox -- an American college student who was charged in December 2009 with the murder of her roommate while studying abroad in 2007 -- is serving a 26-year sentence in an Italian prison but is appealing her conviction. Knox's family and friends feel the film could prejudice the jury and have been trying to block the movie from airing.

Panettiere said, "I've definitely gotten harsh questions, but then I talk about the fact that the movie is very fact-driven and classy." She also noted, "I wasn't sleeping during production because I was nervous. When you’re playing a person that’s actually alive, you want to portray them well."

Ashley Judd Set For TV Return? Lined up to Play CIA Agent!

ASHLEY Judd is reportedly set to return to TV.

The Heat star will break her 20 year break from the small screen to play a former CIA agent who travels to Europe to find her lost son in Missing.

Judd last appeared in a TV drama when she costarred in Sisters in the early 1990s.

According to Deadline, the new show is from feature writer Greg Poirier and is set to launch in the autumn.

Steve Shill, who won an Emmy for his work on Dexter, has signed up to direct several episodes of the new show including the first episode.

Production will begin on the show at the end of March in Rome, Vienna and Prague.

Judd — who’s married to racing driver Dario Franchitti — recently insisted she always makes time to appreciate her husband.

“The point is, we’re always so quick to say, ‘That hurt my feelings,’ so how about being as quick to say, ‘I really appreciated it when you turned the TV down so we could hear each other,” she said last year. “Dario and I do an appreciation every day.

“It was a suggestion from a friend who does it with his wife. Sometimes it’s [she mimics gritting her teeth in annoyance and spits out], ‘I really appreciate…’ But that’s the point of the exercise — even when one is cross, to get some gratitude on board.

“We’ve been together 10 and a half years. We have our eighth anniversary in three weeks.”

Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson To Star In Crime Drama "Freelancers"?

Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson is reportedly set to star in a new crime drama, "Freelancers".

According to Variety, Jackson will play the son of a murdered New York City police officer who joins the force himself in the vice crime task force and ends up on a team of "rogue Gotham cops."

The film will be directed by Jessy Terrero ("Soul Plane") who worked with the rapper previously on his MTV Video Music Award-nominated "Candy Shop." Filming is said to begin on March 28 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Jackson, 35, will also be producing the film and recently started his own production company, Cheetah Vision Films, which has a $200 million 10-picture deal with Lionsgate. Jackson said of his growth to MTV, "With each individual project, I work with someone that makes sure I'm completely prepared for it." "I feel like I'm growing. When the projects get bigger and better the public will start to shift and treat me like anyone else's progress."

Will Eva Longoria's Charity Eva's Heroes Benefit From Her Presence In Texas Parade?

"Desperate Housewives" actress Eva Longoria who's had first hand experience with a loved one suffering from a disability, is working to get more funding towards her beloved charity, Eva's Heroes.

Eva wrote on her charity website in reference to her sister, "I was extremely fortunate to grow up with an intellectually disabled sister. "My mother became a special education teacher because of her and therefore I have been involved with all facets of this disability since I could walk and talk."

According to Access Hollywood, Longoria will serve as this year’s grand marshal of the Texas Cavaliers River Parade during San Antonio’s Fiesta, the biggest event of the Alamo City’s social calendar.

The festival organizers are expecting about 250,000 people to watch the parade with proceeds from the event will go to 40 charities, including Eva Longoria's own Eva's Heroes.

Longoria's Eva's Heroes is based in San Antonio, Texas and helps teens and young adults who were born with developmental disabilities.

Janet Jackson opens up on family and her future

In an interview with HLN’s Richelle Carey, Janet Jackson gets personal, talking about her memories of her late brother Michael, her relationship with their father Joe, and if another marriage and kids are in her future.

On becoming a mom, Jackson told Carey that she's hoping it'll happen.

“But you know I really do leave it [to] God,” Jackson added, noting that filmmaker Tyler Perry has told her that statement is her way of saying she doesn’t really want kids. But, Jackson said, “That’s not the truth... if it's really meant to be it will happen. God will bless me with that.”


And when it comes to taking another walk down the aisle, Jackson has a similar “what will be, will be” outlook.

“It’s really up to God…who knows maybe I will.” But, she adds, she’s in a place where putting a ring on it isn't necessary to make a relationship real.

“There came a point in my life where I said OK, maybe this isn’t for me and I don’t need a piece of paper to validate the relationship that I’m in, my love for that person,” Jackson said. “But, there’s also something to be said to that bond, that closeness that you feel that can’t be penetrated by anyone, anything. But I don’t know, it’s in God’s hands. It really is.”

JENNIFER BEALS, the American actress and star of the movie 'Flashdance', has turned down an offer to appear as a contestant on the next series of DANCING WITH THE STARS, according to People Magazine. Beals, who is currently starring in the Fox drama 'The Chicago Code', says she will not be following in the footsteps of recent winner JENNIFER GREY, saying, "I am not a dancer. They asked me and I said no. You could back up a truck to my door filled with cash and I wouldn't do it". The 47-year-old said she visited the DANCING WITH THE STARS' ballroom with her actress friend MARLEE MATLIN several years ago and was surprised by the intimidating atmosphere, saying, "The sound of the audience is so loud and the energy in there is so intense. I wanted to start crying just in feeling for her. I joked with Marlee and said, 'You don't know how lucky you are you can't hear this'", the actress added, "The noise level is so intense and people's excitement level is so intense. I could never. I'm not that kind of a performer".

Peter ski resort in Warwick, New York this week, reports the UK's Daily Mail. 24-year-old Fox was snapped with her hair rollers in as she filmed scenes for her forthcoming movie 'Friends With Kids. The actress was layered up in skiing attire as she and JON HAMM chatted with the movie's director JENNIFER WESTFELDT, who is also Hamm's partner of over 13 years. Despite filming most of her own stunts for the first two Transformers films and the comic book inspired action movie 'Jonah Hex', Fox wasn't required to film any actions scenes this week and shot most of her parts on the flat. The comedy movie, which has been filming in the Bronx for the past couple of weeks, is set to be released sometime in early 2012. The film revolves around a pair of thirty-something best friends who begin to notice the toll that having kids has taken on the couples they know. ADAM SCOTT and KRISTEN WIIG also star in the move, as does the British actor CHRIS O'DOWD.

Once filming on 'Friends With Kids' is complete, Fox will begin work on the forthcoming drama 'The Crossing', which follows the story of a young couple who get caught up in a drug trafficking scheme during a holiday to Mexico.

Musicrooms.net reports that the Aerosmith rocker was serenaded by a girl group on yesterday's showing of American Idol. The 62-year-old was delighted when he was invited up on to the stage by a group of young hopefuls who performed a rendition of the soul hit "Some Kind of Wonderful". The rocker smiled and laughed as the girls surrounded him and he even sang a few lines himself as they held out their microphone.

Jennifer Lopez deemed the performance as "cute" and at the end only one of the girls was deemed good enough to make it through to the next round and the rest were eliminated.

Paris Hilton spread a little cheer on her 30th birthday on Thursday - she visited a group of U.S. troops in New York.

The socialite marked the milestone with a whirlwind of parties and TV appearances, but she took time out from her busy schedule to head to the headquarters of the United Service Organizations, which supports soldiers and their families.

Hilton chatted to the military men and posed for photos, even posting a snap on her Twitter.com page.

(CNN) -- A photo released by the White House on Friday shows Apple CEO Steve Jobs, along with other tech luminaries, raising a toast with President Barack Obama at a dinner Thursday night in San Francisco.

The photo, of a private dinner during the President's visit to California, comes as tabloid reports, some featuring alleged photos of Jobs, have questioned the Apple leader's health.

In the photo, Jobs and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg flank Obama during the toast. Wearing his trademark black mock turtleneck shirt, Jobs is photographed from behind.

Jobs was diagnosed with cancer in 2003. He took a six-month leave of absence in 2009, during which he was reported to have had a liver transplant.

He began an indefinite medical leave of absence on January 17.

This week, a supermarket tabloid and a gossip website ran unconfirmed reports suggesting that his health was declining.

Neither Apple nor Jobs, or anyone directly familiar with his health care, have commented publicly on the reason for his leave or the most recent rumors.

Jobs had kept a low profile since unveiling a new line of MacBook laptops in October.

Obama's meeting with the tech luminaries was intended to discuss innovation and spurring job growth.

Also worth noting: Zuckerberg appears to have shed his go-to hooded sweatshirt look for his dinner with the leader of the free world.

Dina Lohan: Lindsay gave advice to Charlie Sheen

In a recent radio interview, Charlie Sheen offered advice to fellow troubled star Lindsay Lohan, telling her to work on her impulse control and think before she acts. Now the actress's mother, Dina Lohan, has a few words to say about her daughter and Sheen as well.

"He's 40-odd years old and Lindsay's 24," Dina said in an interview with "Good Morning America" Friday morning, adding that she doesn't understand why people constantly draw comparisons between the two.

"I love his show, he's a talented actor. He's been in the business a lot longer than my daughter. He's from Hollywood, his father is a talented actor, his step-brother… I just think that Lindsay took his advice and she gave him advice as well," said Dina.


And that advice? "Just get help."

Which is what Lindsay herself has done, Dina says in an interview airing on "20/20" tonight. "I believe [that Lindsay doesn't drink anymore], and I think it's gonna be a lifelong struggle with addiction. But I think she's gonna be okay," Dina tells Chris Cuomo in the interview. Still, she admits, it took her daughter some time to get to that place.

"You know, you have to be ready as an individual," says Dina. "It's not just gonna happen. You have to hit your own bottom."

Dina saw Lindsay spiraling out of control early on, but, "I just didn't tell anyone about it. It was a personal situation. I saw it visually, what was happening. You know, I'm around my children. I was around Lindsay a lot, and I saw what was happening. I grabbed the bull by the horns and tried to get her help immediately."

That included a less-than-successful stay in rehab in 2007. Lindsay would go on to get busted for drunk driving, serve three short jail terms and complete five more rehab stints. She is now facing charges of felony grand theft over a necklace she claims she forgot to return to a Los Angeles jewelry store.

While the press has blamed Dina for Lindsay's troubles, calling her a typical stage mom, she denies that she's a bad parent.

"I can't always fight what they're saying or thinking of me. And I'm — I'm certainly not that person," says the self-described "lifelong entertainer." "So when people say, 'Oh, she's living off her children or her kids,' or we're all in this business... I grew up in this business. That's what I know."

Dina says Lindsay is still struggling and "learning as she goes," but she believes she is well on the road to recovery.

"I really think she was at a maturation level that she now understands what she needs to get from it," she says. "And she grasps that."
