DABBLING IN MODELING
Looking chic on the red carpet, Bryce Dallas Howard steps out to support her Hereafter director Clint Eastwood at a gala celebrating his work in Los Angeles on November 14. The daughter of Ron Howard, Bryce always seems to take a tasteful, modest approach to the red carpet, and I think her fitted LBD is a gorgeous choice for her (check out Suzabelle's San Sebastian Dress in Raven Black or Black Halo's Jackie O Dress in Black for similar all black options). The cap sleeves are harsh, but the reflective princess lines are very slimming, don't you think? B complemented the look with gold peeptoes (like Coye Nokes' Grace D'Orsay in Gold) and a skinny black clutch (similar to Jalda's Fabric Kona in Black), sweeping her fiery red hair off her shoulders to complete the look. What do you think of Bryce's little black pick, does it work for her? After gaining some attention in for her roles in Twilight and Hereafter, Bryce will be moving on to modeling this spring. Women's Wear Daily announced today that Bryce will be starring in Kate Spade's Spring 2011 ad campaign, the first time the brand has featured a celeb as its spokesmodel. Bryce couldn't help but gush about her news: "The Kate Spade offer came up and I kind of lost my mind. There’s something about that brand that, from a young age, I really, really, really connected with. It was always the thing I wanted for Christmas…since I was 15 or 16. It represents a lifestyle that I always really loved." I can definitely see how the match could work based on Bryce's choice of dress here. A rep for Kate Spade continued with praise: "We’ve been looking for someone to have a partnership with, as opposed to a flirtation. We loved her, and that she grew up with the brand.…She’s not just a pretty face. She’s a multitalented woman, which represented the brand very well." PROBATION COMPLETE!
Nicole Richie was recently spotted out and about in Beverly Hills on December 30, heading out with husband Joel Madden and son Sparrow before spending some time getting pampered at Planet Nails later in the day. LA has been freezing lately, so it's no surprise that Nic is all cozy for her day out! Nicole paired an oversized black sweater (like JET by John Eshaya's Elastic Sweater Top in Black) with a long black coat (take a peek at Tart's Marquis Jacket in Black), and then slipped into a pair of medium wash skinny jeans (like Frankie B.'s Zip Code in Adriatic) and embroidered loafers. From there, Nicole toted a black shoulder bag with a gold chain strap (similar to Julie K Handbags' Renee Flap Shoulder Bag in Black) and chose an oversized pair of sunnies and a tan beanie to finish off her outfit. It's good to see Nicole smiling... she's probably still on a high from her recent wedding! As I'm sure you know, Nicole's lavish wedding to Joel took place earlier in December and even featured a cameo from an elephant! In other positive Nicole news, the former wild child recently completed probation early from her 2006 DUI incident. According to MTV.com, "Richie's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, went to court Wednesday morning to present the judge with proof that her client had completed the terms of her probation. The verification included a report from the alcohol-education program that the reality-TV star had been attending for the last 18 months. Richie was supposed to end her probation in February 2011, but the judge agreed to terminate it early after ruling that all the terms had been sufficiently completed." Congrats, Nicole! Great to see you putting this phase of your life in the past and focusing on the future.

Looking a little glum, Taylor Swift grabs an early dinner at Pei Wei Asian restaurant with a gal pal and her bodyguard watching over her in Nashville, TN on December 29. The country star just returned to her hometown after spending the Christmas holiday relaxing in Turks and Caicos with her mama and little brother. Always up for a glamorous night on the town, Whitney Port attended the grand opening of The Cosmopolitan Hotel and New Year's Eve Celebration with Jay-Z and Coldplay at Marquee Nightclub inside the Las Vegas hotel on December 31. Looking freshly coiffed - and freshly spray tanned - Whitney decided to go for a more mature, polished look for the evening. Whitney paired a textured, metallic cocktail dress with dramatic shoulders with a dramatic statement necklace (similar to Amrita Singh's Eva Necklace in Gold/Gunmetal) and a charcoal grey clutch (Julie K Handbags' Jessica Bag in Grey Cobra is an exotic option in this color family). She says, ""I was the ugly duckling as a baby and a toddler. As I got a little older — granted, I did not look so hot with braces — I wasn't, like, horribly unfortunate looking. This [shoot] was a big step for me, but I wanted to step out of my comfort zone a little bit, and I thought it would be a fun experience.
