Jennifer Lopez says she's still optimistic about love

Jennifer Lopez says she's still "optimistic" about love despite three failed marriages.

"Sometimes it doesn't work- and that's sad. But I remain an eternal optimist about love. I believe in love," Lopez told Vanity Fair in her first interview since announcing her split from Marc Anthony after seven years of marriage.

Lopez, 41, and Anthony, 42, announced in July that they were breaking up, but they did not specify a reason for the split. The two married in June 2004 and their twin son and daughter, Max and Emme, were born in February 2008.

Lopez said she and Anthony worked well together and that he will always hold a special place in her heart as her children's father.

"We actually work great together, and he was always very supportive. Together we could make magic - and we did," Lopez said.

The two are both actors and singers and released a duet,"No Me Ames," in 1999. In 2011, Lopez appeared as a judge on the 10th season of "American Idol," while Anthony joined the TNT drama series "HawthoRNe" as a regular cast member.

In Vanity Fair's September issue, which goes on sale nationwide Aug. 9, Lopez opened up about her other high-profile relationships, including those with P. Diddy and Ben Affleck. She said she's learned to walk away when something isn't right.

"To understand that a person is not good for you, or that that person is not treating you in the right way, or that he is not doing the right thing for himself - if I stay, then I am not doing the right thing for me," she said.

Lopez, who has starred in several romantic comedies, including "The Wedding Planner" and "The Back-up Plan," called herself a "hopeless romantic" and a "passionate person when it comes to love."

Lopez has been married twice before but has no other children other than her and Anthony's twins. She and Ojani Noa were married between 1997 and 1998. Lopez wed actor and dance choreographer Cris Judd in 2001. They divorced in 2003.

Before Lopez, Anthony was married to actress Dayanara Torres between 2000 and 2004. They have two sons - Cristian, who was born in 2001, and Ryan, born in 2003. Anthony also has a daughter named Ariana, who was born in 1994, with ex-girlfriend Debbie Rosado.

His runaway bride dissed his bedroom abilities -- but Hugh Hefner isn't taking the insults lying down.

After ex-fiancée Crystal Harris told Howard Stern that sex with the 85-year-old Playboy founder lasted "like two seconds" on Tuesday's show, Hefner retaliated: That's not the case, he says.

"Crystal lied about our relationship on Howard Stern but I don't know why," Hef tweeted Tuesday night, although he has since removed the message from his account. "Maybe a new boyfriend?"

Hefner continued to call out Harris, 25, for what he pegged as dishonesty. "Crystal convinced me that she adored me," he replied to another follower. "That was the first lie."

The only sympathy he had for Harris, who has been spotted keeping close company with Dr. Phil's son Jordan McGraw, came in the form of another seeming dig. "I feel sorry for Crystal," he continued. "She seems lost."

Although insisting that he is "pro-Crystal," Hefner said he's "happy to be in a better place with new girlfriends Anna Sophia Berglund & Shera Bechard."

But there's one thing the iconic ladies' man, who publicly moved on from Harris days after their wedding was called off in June, said is indeed true: his feelings for the Playmate when they were in a relationship.

"When I said, 'I missed a bullet' when Crystal left, I didn't mean I didn't love her," Hef explained. "I meant that I realized she didn't love me."

'Two and A Half Men' season premiere: R.I.P., Charlie Sheen?

Oh boy, the first episode of "Two and A Half Men" could be a doozy.

After rumors swirled online that creator Chuck Lorre could kill off Charlie Sheen's character to make way for Ashton Kutcher, Deadline is now reporting that a funeral is, indeed, in the works for the comedy's ninth season premiere on September 19.

The not-so dearly departed? Sheen's Charlie Harper, of course. Apparently, the episode will reportedly open with a memorial service attended by many of Charlie's girlfriends and that his beachfront property will subsequently go up for sale.

Potential buyers will include real-life celebrities and stars from Lorre's other shows, and that Kutcher's character will also tour the property. We can pretty much put two-and-two together from here: Kutcher snatches it up, Alan and Jake beg to stay, and mayhem resumes!

Sadly, Warner Bros. TV -- the studio that produces the hit comedy -- and CBS are not commenting, though it certainly wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for Lorre to kill off Charlie. (In fact, the original rumor was that Sheen's alter-ego would drive off a cliff).

After all, a fatal car accident was used to explain the sudden departure of Valerie Harper in the comedy Valerie's Family in 1987. Harper disagreed with the direction the producers wanted to take the comedy, so they killed her off in a car crash.

She was replaced by Sandy Duncan. Lucky for Lorre, plot spoilers -- whether they are wrong or dead right -- shouldn't affect the comedy's premiere, which will no doubt attract millions of old and new fans.

Nicole Richie stopped by the Ella Moss 10 year anniversary celebration that was held at Eveleigh in West Hollywood on July 28, rocking three hot beauty trends (side braid, fuchsia lipstick and dark polish) according to Us Weekly. Arsenio Hall: I'd like another talk show

Arsenio Hall wouldn't mind a little more late night action.

Deadline reports that during a panel at the Television Critics Association press tour, the former talk show host indicated that he would be willing to return to the small screen.

"I'd have to change my name to Nick Cannon and live with Mariah [Carey]," Hall joked. "But I think it's a perfect time for that, personally. Give me a microphone. My son's 11 and he can drive himself to school. I'm ready to host!"


"The Arsenio Hall Show" broke ground when it debuted in 1989 and helped further the careers of Busta Rhymes, MC Hammer and saxophonist Bill Clinton. The show was canceled in 1994.

Hall said he wouldn't mind another shot at hosting if a network was willing.

"It's pretty crowded out there," he said. "I'm not sure if it's too crowded for a 55-year-old guy to re-emerge, but if they give me a little daylight I'm gonna slide into it."

Fantasia Barrino confirms pregnancy rumors

Singer Fantasia Barrino revealed during a concert Sunday what has been rumored for months -- she is pregnant.

"God has given me this child and I don't have to hide it from none of y'all," Barrino told fans at the outdoor show in Jacksonville, Florida.

The 2004 "American Idol" winner did not say when the baby is due or who is the father. Her manager did not immediately respond to CNN requests for information.

"You are the first person that I share this news with, and I share this with you because I can relate to you," Barrino told fans. "And for a while I walked around figuring out 'What will they say and what will they think about me?' But now I tell you I don't live my life for folk."

Barrino's weight gain fueled online rumors seven months ago that the R&B singer was expecting a child, but her manager said she was gaining 45 pounds in preparation to play legendary gospel singer Mahalia Jackson in a movie.

"Fantasia's pregnant with prosperity," manager Brian Dickens told CNN on February 8, 2011.

The past year has been difficult for the 27-year-old Barrino, who acknowledged a relationship with a married man last summer. She initially denied knowing Antwaun Cook was married.

She was treated at a Charlotte, North Carolina, hospital for a "sleep aid" overdose several days after Cook's wife filed a child-custody petition that included allegations of the affair.

Barrino later testified in the child custody case that she knew from the first day of her relationship with Cook that he was married and still living with his wife, according to court records.

Barrino, who has a 9-year-old daughter, delivered a lecture to her younger fans during Sunday's show, telling them "Take my word and run with it."

"Little girls, take your time with little boys," Barrino said. "Little boys, respect the little girls."

Barrino's raw talent as a songstress, combined with her hard-luck story as a teenage mother, won her many fans, starting with her winning the third season of "American Idol."

Her six-year-long entertainment career has been pockmarked with adversity, including being sued by her own father and well-publicized financial troubles.
