Lady Gaga has designed a "We Pray For Japan" wristband, with all proceeds going directly to Japan for relief efforts following the 8.9-magnitude earthquake.
The red and white wristband says, "We Pray for Japan," written in both English and Japanese. The "Born This Way" pop star took to her Twitter account to alert her 8 million followers.
"I Designed a Japan Prayer Bracelet," Gaga wrote on her Twitter account. "Buy It/Donate here and ALL proceeds will go to Tsunami Relief Efforts. Go Monsters."
The bracelet is available for pre-order on Lady Gaga's official website, LadyGaga.com and will ship around March, 25, 2011. Buyers are encouraged to add any additional donations to the five dollar charge.
The quake, the largest in Japan's recorded history, struck about 80 miles off the eastern coast, according to ABC7. Figures suggest as many as 1,300 people may have been killed.
I applaud Lady Gaga's determination to help the disaster struck people in Japan. This was really a disaster of unprecedented proportions.
ReplyDeleteNow they also have to deal with the nuclear fallout.. Lets Pray they can fix the leak in the Reactor, so the suffering stops.

It's really amazing how Lady Gaga came up with this idea to help Japan recover from the previous disaster that struck people there. I like the wristbands myself, but I was not able to get one. And it's also relieving that Japan was able to recover from it.
