Hugh Hefner didn't stay single for too long after his split from his 25-year-old fiancée Crystal Harris. The Playboy mogul has moved on with a new girlfriend.Hefner confirmed that he's dating Shera Bechard, 27, after a Twitter follower asked him about it. "Shera is both our November 2011 [sic] Playmate & my new girlfriend," he wrote on his Twitter page.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bechard is a French-Canadaian model and aspiring actress.
Hefner and Harris split on June 14. Harris appears on the cover of the nude magazine's July issue. She and Hefner were supposed to marry on June 18. She later went on Ryan Seacrest's radio show to clear up rumors and talk about the real reasons she canceled the wedding.
"Hef's lifestyle isn't the most normal lifestyle," Harris said. "Multiple girls all around, it's not the lifestyle I wanted."
Hefner's ex-girlfriends have said in media reports and in books that the Playboy founder engages in group sex with Playmates regularly. He has not confirmed their stories.
Harris visited the Playboy Mansion on June 19 to return the $90,000 3-carat diamond engagement ring and their dog, Charlie. Hefner was "thrilled" to get his Cavalier King Charles Spaniel back, but told Harris to keep the engagement ring and the Bentley he had given her.
"Crystal brought Charlie back because she thinks he's happier here & I appreciate it, because I really missed him," Hefner Tweeted on June 19.
Harris and Hefner became engaged in December 2010 and have been linked together for about two years. Hefner has been married twice before and Harris said that he was planning the wedding for her sake.
Hefner and his first wife, Mildred Williams, were married between 1949 and 1959 and are parents to Christie and David, who are in their 50s. He and his second wife, Playboy Playmate Kimberley Conrad wed in 1989 and divorced in March 2010. They have two sons - Marston, 21, and Cooper, 20.
