The 2011 CMA Awards telecast, honoring the best in country Music, aired on November 9 from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville and was hosted by Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley.
It was the pair's fourth consecutive year hosting the event, which featured performances by a slew of country super stars, includingTaylor Swift, who performed her song "Ours," Rascal Flatts and Natasha Bedingfield, who performed "Easy" and Underwood and Paisley, who did a duet of "Remind Me."
Others performers at the 45th annual County Music Association Awards ceremony included Urban, Aldean, Faith Hill, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Sara Evans, Martina McBride, Sugarland, The Zac Brown Band and "American Idol" winner Scotty McCreery.
Shelton performed the song "Footloose" with original singer Kenny Loggins. A remake of the movie by the same name was released last month.
Lionel Ritchie debuted tracks from his new country album, "Tuskegee," which features duets of some of his past pop and R& hits. He sang several tracks with the country groups Rascal Flatts and Little Big Town as well as with Darius Rucker of the rock band Hootie & the Blowfish.
There were also performances by all five nominees in the New Artist category, which includes Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Thompson Square, Chris Young and The Band Perry.
"American Idol" finalists Lauren Alaina and Kellie Pickler, LeAnn Rimes and Reba are among the country singers who presented awards.
Other celebrity presenters included Oscar-winner Reese Witherspoon as well as Kellan Lutz of the "Twilight" vampire films, whose new sequel, "Breaking Dawn," hits theaters on November 18, and Miss Piggy of The Muppets, whose new film is set for release on November 23.
Several ABC stars also presented awards, including Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas of the fairy tale-themed drama "Once Upon a Time," Emily VanCamp of the show "Revenge," Eric Stonestreet of the Emmy-winning sitcom "Modern Family" and ESPN reporter Erin Andrews, who also appears on "Good Morning America."
The ceremony also included a musical tribute to Glen Campbell, performed by Paisley, Vince Gill and Keith Urban. Campbell, 75, revealed earlier this year that he has been battling Alzheimer's disease, which has no cure, and is currently on a farewell tour.
The CMA Awards took place on Wednesday, November 9, at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena and aired on the ABC network at 8 p.m. ET. Check out photos from the CMA Awards Show and Arrivals.
