Sharon Stone is taking on social media and helping U.S. troops at the same time.
The actress says she's forming a Facebook page that welcomes returning military personnel home from duty.
Stone, 53, said the page will serve as a community bulletin board where people can thank the troops or where businesses can offer them jobs.
Stone said that with 38,000 military personnel coming home in the next few weeks, she wants her We Welcome Home Our Troops page to be a positive place where veterans can find support.
"When I saw President [Barack] Obama's address to the press discussing the return of our soldiers I felt compelled to find a way to let them know how much we appreciate and respect them," Stone wrote on the Facebook page.
Stone is known for her roles in films, such as "Basic Instinct" and "Casino." She has several projects in the works, including filming for the movie, "The Mule," which is set on the US/Mexican border and is about an American reporter searching for her missing brother.
She's also set to work on "Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story."
