Lindsay Lohan will soon grace the cover of Playboy magazine after completing a "successful photo shoot," her spokesperson says.
The announcement was made on Monday, November 7, following recent reports that said the 25-year-old actress would pose naked for the publication and soon after Lohan completed a shortened Los Angeles jail sentence for a probation violation. It marked her fifth stint behind bars.
"Lindsay has completed a successful photo shoot for Playboy magazine and will be on the cover of the January/February issue, which hits newsstands in late December," the actress' spokesperson told OnTheRedCarpet.com. "The pictorial is absolutely fantastic and very tasteful, and will be accompanied by an interview that will let readers see another side of Lindsay."
It is unclear if Lohan posed naked or will be featured nude in the magazine, known for its revealing photos of female actresses, singers and other entertainers as well as of new models.
"Our cover girl for our January/February issue is @LindsayLohan!" a message on Playboy's Twitter page said on Monday.
The actress, a former child star known for films such as "The Parent Trap," "Freaky Friday" and "Mean Girls," had stripped down for a nude photo shoot in 2008, when she recreated a 1962 spread by late Hollywood star and sex symbol Marilyn Monroe, who had also posed for Playboy, for a New York Magazine feature. Lohan also appeared naked in the 2010 film "Machete," although she reportedly used a body double.
On Sunday evening, Lohan checked herself into a Los Angeles jail to serve a 30-day jail sentence for violating her probation, stemming from a 2007 drunken driving and cocaine possession case. She was released from custody after less than five hours due to overcrowding, which is common in California.
Lohan's probation was revoked last month after a judge ruled the actress violated it by skipping community service appointments at a women's shelter.
Lohan was earlier this year ordered to complete 480 hours of community service at the facility and at a morgue as part of a sentence handed down for a misdemeanor theft charge, which had in itself constituted a violation of her 2007 probation. The judge handed down her 30-day jail sentence on November 2 and reinstated the actress' probation.
She also ordered Lohan to complete the remainder of her hours at the morgue and undergo therapy.Lohan's next court appearance was scheduled for Dec. 14.
