Barbara Walters released a few names on the list of interviewees for her '10 Most Fascinating People' special set to air later this month and it features one prominent reality television family.
Walters' list includes the stars of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians." Outrage over Kim Kardashian's quick divorce after 72 days of marriage caused a group to launch an online petition to get their franchise yanked from the airwaves.
"We try to take people who have done something in the past year that has made them very important," Walters explained about her choice of the Kardashians on "The View" on November 30 after the announcement was met with boos from the audience. "We tried to take positive people."
Other famous names included on the list are "X-Factor" and former "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell, New York Yankee Derek Jeter, Katy Perry and "Modern Family" actors Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet, who play a gay couple on the sitcom.
Also on the list are Donald Trump, Amanda Knox and Royal Wedding favorite Pippa Middleton.
Walters did not reveal the entire list adding that she was holding on to the most fascinating person for the special and said there was also a politician on the list, but clarified that the politician did not take the title of most fascinating.
The 90-minute special, Walters' 19th annual "Fascinating People" edition, airs on ABC on Dec. 14.
