Jennifer Lopez says 'too early' to decide 'American Idol' return

Jennifer Lopez just wrapped her first season as a judge on "American Idol" on Wednesday, but the singer has yet to decide whether she will return to the hit singing competition.

Lopez signed a single-year contract and told Fox News that it was "too early to tell" whether she would return.

"Everyone has multiple year contracts; Jennifer had single year contract, we loved having her, the hope and expectation is she'll return," head of Fox Peter Rice said earlier this week.

Fellow judge Steven Tyler signed a multi-year contract and reportedly earned $18 million, while Lopez signed on for a reported $12 million.

Scotty McCreery was named the season 10 "American Idol" winner. The 17-year-old country singer wowed judges and got the most votes which were tallied before Wednesday's finale. McCreery closed the show with a tearful performance of his first single, "I Love You This Big."

During the two hour finale, Jennifer Lopez danced on-stage while her husband Marc Anthony sang his rendition of Héctor Lavoe's "Aguanile." The sultry performance ended with a passionate kiss

The singer's seventh album "Love?" hit stores on May 3. She has since released several singles from the album.

Her second single, "Invading My Mind" surfaced online in March and was produced by RedOne and Lady Gaga, who also helped write the track.

In February, Lopez dropped her first single and music video from her record - "On the Floor," which contains vocals from rapper Pitbull and samples from Kaoma's 1989 track "Lambada."

Lopez is known for pop and dance tracks such as "Waiting for Tonight," "If You Had My Love" and "Jenny From the Block." She last released a full-length record, "Brave," in 2007. The singer was recently voted People magazine's Most Beautiful person of 2011.
