Stepping out for a good cause, Ashlee Simpson Wentz rubs shoulders with Nicky Hilton at a charity event for Baby Buggy at the Soho House in West Hollywood on December 6. Ash attended the soiree, hosted by alice + olivia designer and founder Stacey Bendet, to kickoff a month long holiday drive to motivate customers to donate toys, books or diapers in exchange for a 15% discount on alice + olivia apparel. Sounds like a win-win situation for me! Ashlee arrived at the event in a festive embellished skirt (try Tart's Sequin Mini Skirt in Black or Jay Godfrey's Graves Sequin Skirt in Copper for possible NYE outfit options) with a slate tank tucked in, double breasted blazer (try Monrow's uber comfy Double Breasted Tuxedo Jacket in Black), stockings and black booties (add some bling with Rock & Republic's Ginny Crystal Mesh Bootie in Black). Staying true to her love of all things Chanel, Ashlee accessorized with a long onyx and crystal necklace (love Tiger Lily's Large Crystal Necklace in Silver/Clear) with chunky crystal pendant earrings to complete the look. What are your thoughts on her festive attire, does it flatter her choppy new 'do? I'm still getting used to her look sans long boho waves, but I do have to say the sophisticated look is growing on me. Seems to be working well for Ash too, as she was making the rounds at the event chatting with Kourtney Kardashian, Denise Richards, and Odette Yustman, among other stars in the house. Sounds like quite the holiday shindig! Ash and hubby Pete Wentz have been partying nonstop over the past few weeks, attending everything from Nicole Richie and Joel Madden's wedding to Pete's DJing gig at the X Life launch party to a yummy date night out at Beso in West Hollywood. Pete joked with E! News recently about how different their normal schedule is: "We have a pretty early bedtime. A wild one for us is last night: We stayed up past 10 and watched Black Swan."
