Queen Latifah has some words of wisdom for future princess Kate Middleton.
"Make sure you have a sanctuary, because everybody in the world is going to be in your business," the New Jersey-born Dana Owens advises the British bride-to-be in the new issue of Parade magazine.
Forty-year-old Latifah, who will host the January 5 "People's Choice Awards" on CBS, tells Middleton it is important to understand that she and Prince William come from two completely different worlds - something William's mother, Princess Diana might have forgotten when she exchanged vows with Prince Charles in 1981.
"He happened to be born a prince; you happened to go to college and meet him," Latifah says of the 28-year-old St. Andrew's University alums. "You're two kids who fell in love."
More importantly, Latifah wishes Middleton well when she walks down the aisle on April 29. " I just hope you have a happy life," she says, adding, "And don't take anything personally."
