Kate Middleton lands on Vanity Fair's International Best-Dressed List for a second time

Kate Middleton's fashion forward style helped her land a spot once again on of Vanity Fair's 2011 International Best Dressed List.

The Duchess of Cambridge has been known as a trendsetter since before her major royal wedding in April. Her choice to mix of high and low fashion earned her a spot on the 72-year-old list, according to a statement from the magazine. She had appeared once before, in 2008. Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, the First Lady of France, is another repeat recipient.

Other international women who caught the eye of the designers include Princess Charlene of Monaco and Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser of Qatar.

President Obama and First Lady Michele Obama, a four-year veteran of the list, was named for the first time as part of a best-dressed couple, but was not included on the women's list. President Barack Obama had been named on his own to the list once in 2009.

First-timers include Christine Lagarde, chief of the International Monetary Fund. Carey Mulligan and Tilda Swinton have each made it twice.

Lady Gaga, Janelle Monae, the King of Bhutan and couple Vanessa Paradis and Johnny Depp fill the "fashion originals" group.

Vanity Fair inherited the list, considered one of the most influential in the fashion world, from the late fashion publicist Eleanor Lambert in 2004, according to the Associated Press.
