Cindy Crawford, one of the most famous supermodels in the world, donned a red, sequined, one shoulder Roberto Cavalli gown at the 2011 Venice Film Festival.
Crawford, 45, completed the look with a small ruby bag and silver Chopard jewels. She and husband Rande Gerber, 49, arrived by boat and attended the premiere of "The Ides of March," a new film that sees George Clooney play a U.S. presidential candidate. The movie was the opening film at the festival, which began on Wednesday, August 31 and runs until September 10.
"Top model @CindyCrawford looks beyond amazing in Roberto Cavalli at the 68th #VeniceFilmFestival Opening Ceremony!" read a message posted on the designer's Twitter page on Thursday, to which Crawford responded: "Grazie!
Crawford and Gerber have been married since 1998 and have two children - son Presley, 12, and daughter Kayla, who will turn 10 on Saturday, September 3. Crawford was previously married to actor Richard Gere for almost four years. They have no children together.
Crawford, known for her signature facial mole, was most popular in the 1990s and has graced the cover of magazines such as People, Vogue, W and Playboy. In 1993, Crawford, then 27 and a Revlon spokesmodel, appeared on the cover of People's "Most Beautiful" issue (see which celebrities were named "Most Beautful" over the past 21 years).
She quit modeling full time in 2000 but still occasionally appears in ads. In recent years, she has made guest appearances on shows such as "According To Jim" and "Wizards of Waverly Places." She also launched her own home furnishing line and spends time doing charity work.
