Jessica Simpson dishes on emotional pregnancy outbursts and new cravings

Jessica Simpson is experiencing a lot of crying moments with her new pregnancy.

The singer and fashion mogul reportedly dished to Rachael Ray on an episode of "The Rachel Ray Show" set to air on December 12 that she has had an emotional pregnancy and a new set of cravings.

"That's the one thing about pregnancy -- I'll cry at the drop of a hat," Simpson told Ray, according to Us Weekly. "Even a great souffle would make me cry."

"I felt [the baby] move the other day for the first time and I had big crocodile tears," she said. "It was the coolest thing ever. It did a flip or something. I was like, 'There it went. It's there. It's really there.'"

Simpson confirmed on October 31 that she and fiancé Eric Johnson are expecting their first child. Simpson and Johnson began dating in May 2010 and announced the following November, after he finalized his divorce from his first wife, that they are engaged. No wedding date has been announced.

While in November Simpson said her pregnancy caused her to crave fruits like cantaloupe, she recently told Ray that she's also been craving peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

"This week it's peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, toasted," she said. "And then, I'll put some salt on my hand like I'm taking a tequila shot and then take a bite of the sandwich."

Simpson has in recent years focused on her fashion endeavors. Her collections of apparel, perfume and other products, which are marketed to young women, have raked in almost $1 billion in sales.

The singer launched her own line of diamond jewelry with Zales and also teamed up with celebrity aesthetician Nerida Joy to launch BeautyMint, an online portal that sells anti-aging skincare.

She is also lending her fashion business sense to up-and-coming designers on the NBC reality series "Fashion Star" as a mentor.

Elle MacPherson will host the series. NBC promises the show will be a "true spectacle" taped in front of a studio audience and featuring music, dancers and models along with weekly challenges for the contestants. The show will premiere on NBC on March 13 at 9 p.m.
