Jennifer Aniston says she's 'gained a couple of pounds,' talks pregnancy & engagement rumors

Jennifer Aniston says she is not pregnant or engaged despite recent rumors and adds she has gained weight because she quit smoking.

The 42-year-old actress made her comments to the tabloid Hello! magazine during a press conference to promote "Five," a Lifetime cable network film series about breast cancer that features her as a first-time director, People reported.

"Rumor No. 1 - I am not planning to get married any time soon," the magazine quoted Aniston as saying. "I've been married once, and I don't know if I'll get married again. But I can tell you that as of this very moment, I have no plan to get married. Got that? And rumor No. 2 - no, we're not pregnant. It's just I quit smoking, so I've gained a couple of pounds."

Aniston is considered one of Hollywood's most beautiful actresses and earlier this year received the "Decade of Hotness" award at Spike TV's Guys Choice Awards. She has been dating boyfriend Justin Theroux, a 40-year-old actor, since at least this past May. She was famously married to Brad Pitt between 2000 and 2005. Aniston fueled engagement rumors several months ago when she was photographed wearing a sparkly ring.

Aniston had told Elle magazine in an interview published in its November 2011 issue that there was "no desperation" to have a child, adding: "If it's meant to be, it's meant to be. I'm at peace with whatever the plan is."

Lifetime's "Five" film series premiered on October 10. Aniston's movie, "Mia" depicts the breast cancer struggle of a woman by the same name, played by Patricia Clarkson. Amid her battle, she holds a mock funeral for herself, gives away her possessions and marries for the second time. The film also stars "Monk" actor Tony Shalhoub and Kathy Najimy.

Aniston, Moore and fellow newbie director Alicia Keys also appeared at a New York event to promote "Five" at the end of September - check out photos here.
