Kelly Ripa recently had a chance to be a bridal consultant on TLC's "Say Yes to the Dress," and the host admitted that the job was much harder than it looked."I'm totally overwhelmed," Ripa said in a preview of the reality bridal series. "This could be the hardest job on the planet!"
The reality series, which takes place at the Kleinfeld Bridal boutique in New York, follows women in search of their dream wedding gown.
The seventh season of "Say Yes to the Dress" premieres on Friday, featuring guest bridal consultant Kelly Ripa.
The 41-year-old actress has appeared opposite Regis Philbin on "LIVE! With Regis & Kelly" since 2001. It was recently announced that Philbin's last show would air on November 18, 2011.
Philbin, 80, announced in January that he would leave the morning talk series after some 25 years. A new co-host has yet to be announced.
Ripa played Hayley Vaughan on "All My Children" between 1990 and 2001. Ripa began acting on "All My Children" when she was 19 as Hayley Vaughan. On the set she met Mark Consuelos, who played her on-screen love interest Mateo, in 1995. The couple eloped on May 1, 1996.
Ripa and Consuelos have three children, Michael Joseph, 14, Lola Grace, 10, and Joaquin Antonio, 8.
"All My Children" aired its final episode on ABC on September 23, after more than 40 years on air and Consuelos told OnTheRedCarpet.com that he and Ripa were "bummed" about the series ending.
Ripa and Consuelos serve as executive producer on the series "Dirty Soap," which premiered on September 25 on E! at 10 p.m. and follows the lives of daytime soap stars like "General Hospital" actress Kelly Monaco and "Days of Our Lives" star Nadia Bjorlin.
Kelly Ripa's "Say Yes to the Dress" episode will air on October 7 at 9 p.m. ET on TLC. Watch a preview below.
