GIVING EXPERIENCES, NOT GIFTS

Making another glamorous appearance, Katy Perry walks the red carpet with Russell Brand at the David Lynch Foundation's "Change Begins Within" Benefit Celebration on December 13 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. At the event KP selected a fun printed Issa gown that I think is perfectly suited to her colorful personality (if you're also a fan of prints try Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent's Strapless Long Dress in Pansy or Meghan Los Angeles' Lily Rose Dress in Pink), wearing her hair in soft curls with bronzed makeup accented by a pop of fuchsia lipstick. As for accessories, Katy is wearing CC Skye's highly coveted Pave Pyramid Stud Bracelet in Silver (if you're too impatient to wait for it to come back in stock, try adding texture with Anna Beck's Sterling Silver Studded Large Cuff) and a dazzling gunmetal cocktail ring (similar to Amrita Singh's Yapa Ring in Silver/Gunmetal). What do you think of Katy's red carpet attire, is this one another winner for her? On the red carpet, the recently wed couple was asked what their holiday plans are for their first year together as husband and wife, to which KP responded: "Honestly, we're not doing presents this year because we're going to do an experience instead. My whole life has been an experience, especially in these past few years and this year in particular." I like the sound of that! What types of gifts did you readers exchange with your significant others this holiday?
