BRAVING THE BLIZZ

After learning her lesson the day before, a fully bundled up Jessica Simpson makes her way out the Ritz Carlton Hotel in NYC on January 7. Jess spent the better part of last week tending to her burgeoning apparel business, which is expected to have sales over $1 billion this year. In contrast to the day before when Jessica left her hotel slipping and sliding in towering heeled boots, she went with a more practical zip front wedge boot on this occasion (be prepared for all elements with Hunter Boots' Original Tall Boots in Black with the Leopard Welly Sock in Black to keep you cozy) with a pair of matching fur trimmed gloves with the same nailhead design. Jess kept warm in a pair of black jeans tucked in (try Paige Premium Denim's Verdugo Jegging in Vinyl) and a roomy turtleneck poncho (similar to Line's Kevin Drape Turtleneck in Grey). As a finishing touch Jessica carried her favorite leopard print Prada bag (get your animal on with Whiting & Davis' Asymmetrical Hobo in Leopard) and covered up with a pair of stealthy black shades. What do you think of Jessica's winter style, is this what you'd wear on a chilly day in the city? I love the stud detailing on the gloves and boots, so I think this one wins for me. When she's not running the show at Jessica Simpson Collection headquarters in NYC, an insider recently revealed Jess has been taking vegan cooking lessons to get ready for her married life with fiancĂ© Eric Johnson, who is living on the opposite end of Jessica's "real girls eat meat" Texas upbringing. A friend revealed: “She hardly ever prepared meals when she and ex-hubby Nick Lachey were together. Jessica is determined to be more of a domestic goddess this time in regards to her marriage." I can already see this turning into a new reality show! Have any of you experimented with going meat-free for 2011?
