MIXED PRINT PRETTY

Turning up the glamour, Kirsten Dunst makes a dramatic appearance at the Art of Elysium's 4th Annual Black Tie "Heaven" Charity Gala in Los Angeles on January 15. In addition to raising money to make a difference, the evening featured a Vogue fashion show, which surely inspired Kiki to go all out in Rodarte at the event. Kirsten arrived in a bold mixed print frock with a black and white blouson bodice and a pale green tulip wrap skirt (if you like the contrasting look, try mixing prints like Loeffler Randall's Graphic Dress in Black, Meghan Los Angeles' Daffidil Mini in Pink Print or Rachel Pally's Neomi Long Sleeve Dress in Print). Kirsten paired her frock with a pair of demure t-strap heels (add a quirky touch I'm sure Kiki would appreciate with Farylrobin's Jayden in Black), finishing the look with dark smoky eyes and blood red lipstick. I personally think her makeup is a little too vampire-esque for the dress, but I have to point out that compared to Kiki's usual drab looks, this one is anything but mundane. Thoughts? In light of her recent roles in All Good Things and Somewhere, Kirsten has been giving plenty of interviews lately, and even took time to dwell on a somber period that many fans have wondered about: her 2008 stint in rehab. Kirsten explained her hesitation to speak out about her depression with BlackBook magazine for the Dec/Jan 2011 issue: “On a personal level, I would talk to anybody about it, but not on a public level. If I do that, then the next person feels like they can ask me about it, and the person after that, until everyone then feels entitled to ask me about it, and that’s not coming from a good place.” Can't say I blame her for wanting a little privacy, but I do hope she's doing okay nowadays. Do you agree with her guarded stance?
