NEW COLLECTION DETAILS

Spotted at an art show that was held at the New Museum on Bowery Street in NYC on January 25, Mary-Kate Olsen unsurprisingly opted for a furry look as she posed for photographers. MKO started with a grey fur coat (get a great winter white faux fur option with Sanctuary's Fur Jacket in Natural) and a metallic patterned scarf (try Free People's Forest Scarf in Multi Charcoal), and then wore a pair of custom made jeans by one of Mary-Kate's favorite stores, Maxfield in LA. While I'm all for finding a great pair of jeans that fit, I think having jeans custom made might just be a tad unnecessary. For a similar pair, try 7 For All Mankind's Gwenevere in Dusty Newsprint. To finish up her art opening ensemble, MKO toted her favorite vintage Hermes bag and wore a pair of black boots and a few rings (take a peek at Noir's Oliver the Owl Ring in Silver). Are you digging Mary-Kate's outfit here, everyone - or has her style become a bit too predictable lately? For those of you who are fans of the twins' line The Row, you might be excited to hear details about the new Pre-Fall 2011 collection. According to Style Bistro, "The Row Pre-Fall 2011 collection is a clear proof of Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen's progress as designers. Still in muted color palette of dark neutrals and the occasional pop of camel or white, The Row Pre-Fall 2011 gives us a lot of pants. Straight-leg, wide-leg, skinny or short. In leather or wool. With simple tops or smart jackets. Plunging V-necklines are balanced out with long bottoms and the naive Peter Pan collars with the more aggressive leather shorts or skirt. And the maxis. Equipped with deep skirt slits, they add an alluring element to the collection. In this collection, balance is key." Sounds like another successful collection!
