Angelina Jolie's new tattoo honors Brad Pitt, report says - see photo

Angelina Jolie revealed a new tattoo this week which has led to speculation that it might honor her partner Brad Pitt, People magazine reports. The new ink is an addition to her arm tattoo which depicts map coordinates to the birthplaces of her six children, which led some to believe that there might be another adoption in the works. In February, Jolie's rep denied rumors that the actress plans to adopt another child any time soon. The new coordinates begin with the latitude N 35°10'44" and though the longitude is obscured, it appears to begin with a W instead of an E, which would mean the location was in the United States. Pitt was born in Shawnee, Oklahoma, whose coordinates are N 35°20'33" W 96°56'34," so it's possible that the tattoo honors his birthplace. Jolie is known for playing sexy, leading female characters in movies such as "Salt," "Tomb Raider," "Gia" and most recently, "The Tourist" with Johnny Depp." She won an Oscar for her part as a sociopath in the movie "Girl, Interrupted." Jolie has made headlines for beginning a relationship with Pitt while filming "Mr. And Mrs. Smith," which came out in 2005, when he and actress Jennifer Aniston divorced. Jolie also raised eyebrows when she talked about her past bisexuality in the press, kissed her brother on the lips at the Academy Awards and wore a small vial filled with Billy Bob Thornton's blood around her neck when she was married to him between 2000 and 2003. Aside from acting, Jolie is also known for her charity work and is a UN Refugee Agency Goodwill Ambassador. She was honored recently with her own Female Force comic book. "I learned a great deal about her struggles and triumphs as an actress, mother and humanitarian," the book's writer, Brent Sprecher, said in a statement provided by Bluewater Productions. "Often painted as an edgy, slightly dangerous movie star, what is often not revealed about Ms. Jolie is her tireless commitment to charity work and her dedication to the plight of refugees around the world as a Goodwill Ambassador with the United Nations." Jolie is currently working on her big-screen directorial debut - a movie she has written about a Serbian man and Bosnian woman who fall in love at the time of the Bosnian war in the 1990s. She is also attached to a "Cleopatra" movie reboot.
