Tina Fey is pregnant with second child, report says

Actress and comedian Tina Fey revealed during a taping of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" on Wednesday that she is pregnant with her second child. A representative for the 40-year-old "30 Rock" star confirmed the news to People magazine. Fey is the mother of five-year-old daughter Alice with her husband Jeff Richmond, who works as a composer on "30 Rock." Fey's "30 Rock" co-star Jane Krakowski announced her first pregnancy in January and frequent "30 Rock" guest star Elizabeth Banks recently welcomed a son via a surrogate. Fey made an appearance on the show to promote her new book "Bossypants." The episode scheduled to air April 12. It is in the book where Fey recently speculated that her infamous impression of Sarah Palin may have hurt ratings for her current show "30 Rock." The couple wed in 2001. "Some may argue that exploiting Governor Palin and her family helped bring attention to my low-rated TV show," Fey says in her new memoir "Bossypants," which was released on Tuesday, April 5. "I am proud to say you are wrong. My TV show still enjoys very low ratings." "In fact, I think the Palin stuff may have hurt the TV show," she added. "Let's face it, between Alec Baldwin and me there is a certain fifty percent of the population who think we are pinko Commie monsters." Fey, a former "Saturday Night Live" writer and cast member, won an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her impression of Palin on an episode of the NBC sketch comedy show in 2008, the year the politician ran for vice president. Fey said at the time she received hate mail for her impressions. She said in her book: "On an intellectual level, this doesn't bother me at all. On a human level, I would prefer to be liked." Meanwhile Fey's "30 Rock" co-star, Alec Baldwin, reportedly said that the Emmy-winning NBC series "30 Rock" will end in 2012, although the network has not confirmed this. "Our show next year is our last year of the show," New York magazine quoted Baldwin, 53, as saying at the National Dance Institute's recent annual fund-raising gala, which honored him for his commitment to the art and culture of New York City. "Our contracts are expired, and Tina is gonna have a big career directing films and writing." Fey and NBC spokespeople have not commented on the report. "30 Rock" began in 2006 and is loosely based on Fey's experiences on the NBC sketch comedy show "Saturday Night Live." The show has won 14 Emmy Awards, including "Best Comedy Series." On "30 Rock," Fey plays TV writer Liz Lemon, while Baldwin portrays her boss, Jack Donaghy. The show is on its fifth season and has been renewed for a sixth.
