Her new single doesn't go on sale until midnight, but you can catch the new Britney Spears track early.Radio/ "American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest debuted the leaked song on his syndicated show Monday. The track, titled "Hold It Against Me," is scheduled to go into wide released simultaneously on the radio and the iTunes U.S. store at 12 a.m. on Tuesday. Fans will be able to buy the single exclusively on iTunes until January 18.
According to MTV, Spears music has a bit of a history of debuting before its scheduled debut. The site says Spears made headlines last year when a demo of her performing the hit Lady Gaga song "Telephone" made its way to the Internet. Likewise, "Womanizer" was briefly leaked on a Nashville radio station and fans got sneak listens of "Circus" and "If You Seek Amy" from Spears last album of original material, Circus, which was released in 2008.
"Hold It Against Me" is the lead single off of Spears' as-yet-untitled seventh studio album is slated for release in March. According to a press release heralding the new song, Spears has had five albums debut in the No. 1 position on Billboard 's Top 200 Albums chart and had 24 Top 40 hits on Billboard’s Mainstream Top 40 chart during her 12 year career.
