Salma Hayek's husband is father of Linda Evangelista's son?

Did Salma Hayek's husband, French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault, father a child with supermodel Linda Evangelista?

The parties have not commented. Evangelista, 46, was recently photographed leaving a New York court. She reportedly attended a meeting on Thursday to try and reach a "support agreement" with Pinault, 49, which the New York Post said was the father of her 4-year-old son, Augustin James. Pinault did not make an appearance.

Evangelista has never revealed the identity of the father of her son, who was born on Oct. 11, 2006 in New York City. Her spokesperson has repeatedly denied reports that have suggested Pinault is the father.

Court records show that both Pinault's and Evangelista's attorneys, who specialize in matrimonial law, were summoned to the same conference at a family court in New York City.

"It was just a routine [telephone] conference call to bring the Magistrate up to date on what was going on in the matter," Pinault's attorney told OnTheRedCarpet.com about the Thursday meeting, declining to provide details. "I consider this to be a private matter."

Evangelista's lawyer had no immediate comment on the report, which was also carried by Us Weekly and E! News.

Pinault, the CEO of luxury goods company PPR, which owns Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent, has three confirmed children, a 3-year-old daughter with Hayek and a son and daughter from a previous first marriage.

Pinault met Hayek in Venice in May of 2006, months after Evangelista's son was conceived, and in March 2007, the two announced that the actress was pregnant and that they were engaged, People magazine reported. They welcomed their daughter, Valentina Paloma, on September 21 of that year.

In July 2008, the two announced they had split and called off their engagement. They reconciled several months later and married on Feb. 14, 2009 - Valentine's Day - in Paris. They had a second, larger wedding on April 25 of that year in Venice, where they met.
